1st Stop
Kathmandu, Nepal
Kathmandu, Nepal's capital, is set in a valley surrounded by the Himalayan mountains. For thousands of years it has been the centre of Nepalese history, art, and culture. It is home to a multi-ethnic population consisting of mainly Hindus and Buddhists, and consequently thousands of temples and lively festivals.
2nd Stop
Dehli, India
New Delhi is the capital of India, and the seat of power in the nation. Thousands of years old, Delhi is full of historical landmarks. Densely populated, Delhi is known for its traffic and poor air quality - but it also has cows and moneys roaming the streets full of delicious restaurants and colorful shops.
3rd Stop
Leh, Ladakh, India
Leh is a city in Indian-administered Ladakh near the disputed Kashmir region. It is the largest city and capital of Ladakh, and is located at an altitude of 11,562 ft, high up in the Northern Himalayas. Leh has a dry landscape that reminds me of home and towering mountains. Influenced by Tibetan culture, Leh is full of prayer flags and monasteries.
4th Stop
Agra, India
Agra is home to the Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan of the Mughals as a mausoleum for his favorite empress. Agra sits on the banks of the Yamana river in the middle of a level region between hills and mountains.
5th Stop
Kovalam, Kerala, India
Kovalam is a beach city in the state of Kerala. Kerala has nearly 600km of shoreline. It's known for its palm-lined beaches, backwaters, and network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife.
